The Best Time of My Life

Saturday Night,
I had the best date of my life,
A formal date, with the woman to be my wife...
It was fun dancing.
Definitely the best weekend of my life!
(And not just because here in Utah, it is now Valentine's Day)
June 29th is the Target Date for Now
[subject to change]

1 + 1 = ?

Hopefully this is a good enough hint.
If anyone hasn't been informed, here it is...
in camera phone quality, non-HD.
Date to be decided.

mvd

It's a miracle. I went to the MVD this morning to renew my driver's license. It was open. Yeah! I was able to get in and out within 15-20 minutes of arriving at the MVD. There were only eight people in front of me and a couple of the numbers that were called didn't have people to go with them. I don't think I'll ever have that short of a wait at the MVD ever again.

no school today

There is no school today again. The school district expects us to go back to school on Monday. The roads are drivable now and it is warming up. They are concerned about opening the schools due to a shortage of natural gas around the state. We are not affected but the towns around us (Bernalillo, Albuquerque) have people without natural gas to heat their homes. Shelters are being set up for those who need a safe, warm place to go. Hotels are advertising low rates for people who need a warm place to be. The city and schools are shutting down schools and office buildings so the natural gas can be used for residential use. I do have to go grocery shopping today which won't be too bad. The kids are excited to have yet another day off from school. I am thankful we have everything we need. May you stay warm and safe this weekend.

Brrrrrrr it's cold outside!!!!!

Here in New Mexico, it is really cold. Jack Frost has visited. We have frost on our house windows. Last night, we were in the negative degrees with today warming up to about 24 degrees. We have snow on the ground and on our road. It is not warm enough to melt yet. The kids have been out of school since they came home early on Tuesday. We have watched movies, played games, ate good food. Last night's church activities were canceled due to icy roads. We'll see if the kids go back to school on Friday. At Albertsons they were selling children's Snow Shovels. New Mexico is not prepared for this weather because they didn't learn the year we got 18 inches. There is frost on the INSIDE of our windows and at the moment it is below zero outside. Berklie added this tidbit. The main roads are clear. It is the neighborhood roads that are still nasty to drive on. Tomorrow is supposed to be way warmer.
